Rock4

[Rock4] Their experimental nature, their talents to cover songs in a way you won't recognise the original song, Nico Jacobs low bass voice and Luc Devens amazing voice are just some of the ingredients that build Rock4. 2009 has been a year of change, as Lucas Blommers replaced Peter Weltens and Harry Bannoehr (former singer with the U-Bahn Kontrollöre) replaced Luc Nelissen. I still have to hear them in this new formation.

I've always loved the way Rock4 combines the pure sound of their voices with their rough rocksound. It's different than any other group I've heard before. Rock4 has its own sound and I love it. Their interpretation of Queen songs is loved by many people, and the programm with songs from Sting and The Police is a big hit as well!

I've known Rock4 since quite a while. The very first time I heard Rock4 sing was during the Soundmixshow, which was a Dutch television programm in which amateur singers can imitate well known bands/singers. Rock4 was imitating Montezuma's Revenge. In 2000 and 2002 I heard Rock4 sing during the The Vocal Group Festival in Tilburg, (a major two-yearly a cappella festival in The Netherlands). They didn't fear ignoring the festival rules, they got disqualified, and everybody remembers and admires their rebellious behaviour. A lot of fans were born on that day! Including me.
